Came in here with my lady for date night and was super pleased with the ambiance and decor. Music flowed thru the dining area allowing for comfortable conversation. Around 6:30 a woman came in set up her music synthesizer keyboard and player, and what a lovely voice she sang in Spanish and in English it was soothing again, not to loud 🥰 Pedro our server was excellent very attentive but not overbearing. The food was very very good I had Barbacoa with little flour tortillas, my date had vegan tacos made with portobello mushrooms, and we had guacamole and chips. Guacamole was a little heavy on the onion, otherwise REAL homemade chunky guacamole was fantastic! Good cocktails and my coffee was awesome. Overall my favorite new place for us on Date night! Sunday Brunch! We came back Service not near a good as yesterday. 4 stars
Great place for mexican-inspired food. Most of the items are not mexican but made in a mexican style (e.g. add seasoning or mexican veggies). I think egg benedict and salmon grill are very good. Their drinks are beautifully decorated too. The place was pretty and clean. Parking at the back is free for 2-3hr.
We celebrated a birthday on a Monday night and the place was pretty well occupied. There were some large parties (7+ people). Granted, we went on 12/27, so maybe people took time off for the holidays but they seemed quite understaffed. There was one bartender, 1 chef, and two servers for ~40 people -- so service was a little slow. The food was delicious -- kind of pricey but the portions were generous. It was unfortunate but some of their menu options were unavailable (i.e. lobster appetizer). All the drinks/cocktails have agave wine (instead of hard liquor like tequila, rum, etc.) in them.
Spanish food night craving satisfied! Highlights of the menu: 1. Crunchy Chicken Tacos 2. Rojas Chicken Enchiladas: served with rice and beans 3. Verdes Cheese Enchiladas: served with beans and sautéed veggies 4. Guacamole & Chips 5. Horchata 6. Jamaica Aguas Frescas: the dark red drink This place is so cool when I entered! I was amazed with the fun vibes here with the arts, the young furnitures and their bar section with fun neons on the wall. I’m always craving for Mexican food here and there that my craving was satisfied on the visit! With the variety of food offering, I believe this restaurant can please everybody in large parties. The service here is phenomenal, recommending on highlights of the menu and bringing food really quick. I feel like this fun vibes is suitable for my happy hours/after work hang out with my colleagues and friends! I miss going out during COVID time and so glad that we can finally do that again!!
I wanted to try something new for my birthday, and decided on Corazon Modern Kitchen in Brea. Parking was easy right behind the restaurant, and if that is full, there is a parking structure right across the street. We were greeted by several of the friendly staff and seated immediately. We ate outside, but you did have the option of dining outside. We ordered two appetizers, the guacamole and the Queso Fundido which was (to quote the menu) Three cheese blend, chorizo mix with pasilla peppers and potatoes topped with guacamolito sauce and crema fresca. Choice of corn or flour tortillas. Both were very good. The quest was a little spicy probably due to the chorizo, but it was tasty. For the mail course, I ordered Enchiladas de Camaron (Three shrimp filled enchiladas topped with cilantro-serrano alfredo sauce, corn mix, pineapple-serrano onion mix, cilantro and queso fresco. Served with rice and beans.). It was SO good! My husband ordered the tamales (Sweet corn masa topped with marinated shredded chicken, two cheese blends, avocado, cilantro and drizzled with Romero sauce. Served with rice and beans.). He said it was delicious. My daughter ordered Crunchy Chicken Tacos (Three crunchy chicken tacos topped with crema fresca, guacamolito, shredded lettuce, cotija cheese and citrus verde sauce. Served with rice and beans.).. She said it was good, but really boring compared to the food my husband and I ordered. They were more like taquitos. The chicken was inside and everything else was on top. She also ordered the Horchata, and said it was the best she ever had. The waiter said they had the best in Orange County. For dessert, she ordered flan, which looked delicious, but we haven't tried it yet. It was a very nice dinner, with good service. I would recommend this place, and plan on going back.
